The audience actually wants to work for their meal. They just don’t want to know that they’re doing that.

A character has an itch that it can’t scratch. A spine.

Change is fundamental in a story.

A story without change isn’t really a story, but there are changes and, then, there are Changes. For me, a good story is the one that makes me ask myself things about my life, the way I navigate it and the world around.
